Two Minutes

2019: Two minutes to midnight, the closest the Doomsday Clock had ever been to the apocalypse. Until 2020 that is, when it moved to 100 seconds to midnight and, in 2022, remained in that fearful position. Horrifyingly for us all, in 2023 it moved to 90 seconds, and remains in that position in 2024, the closest to global catastrophe it has ever been.
